Now it hosts exhibitions of both domestic and foreign artists. Over the years, the museum has exhibited works by Dmitry Prigov, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, PARADIZARIUM by Sasha Frolova, photographs “Best of Russia”.

The family of Sergei Diaghilev, the organizer of the Russian Seasons in Paris, has lived in Perm for a long time, therefore it is in this city that the international festival Diaghilev Seasons is held. The program usually includes world premieres of opera and ballet performances. Queues for tickets to festival events are lined up in the morning on the day of the opening of sales. The site of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater, where you can buy tickets online, cannot withstand the onslaught of those who wish. This year, at the closing of Diaghilev Seasons, the oligarch Roman Abramovich was seen among the audience.

If you did not come to Perm on the days of the festival, try to get to the opera or ballet anyway. Visit the performance where the artistic director of the theater Teodor Currentzis is at the conductor.

In 2017, the 146th theater season will open on 31 August. The Opera and Ballet Theater will show “Swan Lake”. The conductor of the performance is Artem Abashev, the musical director of the production is Theodor Currentzis.

Another way to get to know Perm is to see it from the Kama. Trips on pleasure river trams will allow you to estimate the length of the city along the river. The walk lasts 1.5 hours, during which dancing is performed on the upper deck.

After returning to the pier, you can walk along the embankment. Currently, reconstruction work is underway there, but some sections have already been repaired. The six-seater booths are glazed, which does not interfere with taking amazing pictures of the city.
In the park itself, various holidays and festivals take place all year round: the celebration of Maslenitsa, the festival of twins, the parade of baby carriages, the ice cream festival, PumpkinDay, wet and snow battles (depending on the season).

Under one roof of the creative space “Pharmacy Bartminskogo” on the central street of the city, the best, in the opinion of Permians, bookstore and the best bar coexist. Entering this old building, you can choose an interesting book at Piotrovsky for a long time, then dine at Sister`s bar. Here you can also look into the Spin vinyl record store and the CherdaKk store of designer tricks. It is here in Perm that people buy moleskines, colored socks and funny stickers.

A snack in Perm must necessarily consist of a local dish – posikunchiks, small pies with meat filling. When you take a bite, broth pours out of them. There are many places where you can try posikunchiki, for example, the Uralskiye posikunchiki chain of snack bars (open around the clock). In the very center, not far from the Polytechnic University, there is “Domashnie posikunchiki” (Komsomolskiy prospect, 32). This dish is also served in restaurants, for example, in the “Stroganov estate” (Lenina, 58) and in “Okhotnichy” (Permskaya, 200). In the second, by the way, you can try bear meat, but this is a seasonal product and it is not always on the menu.
